Week 8

Photoshopping a model
First Photo

This selection of materials gave off a humbling feeling, so the model room could be a place that one can call home. The background selected is infamously of a hilly plain.
Textures (from left to right): ivory wallpaper, mahogany wood, pine wood planking

The palette of textures in this case is of a sophisticated set of materials, emanating a sense of regality and luxury in the room. The background is a sunset field.
Textures (from left to right): white tarpaulin, white wooden planking, textured wallpaper, blue granite tiling, golden metallic wallpaper

This third range of textures has the theme of calming and relaxation; as such, the suitable background is a beach with a similar colour palette.

Textures (from left to right): blue mosaic tiles, timber planking, white stucco paint

Fusion 360 Work

Here are various material combinations I have applied to the design made on the software.

Combination 1: Pine Wood, Blue Chrome, Green Fabric

I have chosen these materials based on my prior experience in working with materials; I've worked with pine wood for most of my wood-based projects, I enjoy dealing with fabrics in textiles projects, and blue chrome is one of the materials that I'd like to deal with in future projects.

Combination 2: Blue Granite, Polished Gold

This beautiful combination is one of my favourites; in terms of colours, the navy blue goes hand in hand with shining gold - similar to stars in the skies; and, the sophistication in using a polished metal against a strong substance such as granite substantiates the regal textural qualities.

Combination 3: Mirror, Concrete, Emerald

This material combination reflects my personal outlook on life; a person should always engage in personal reflection, remain humble and concreted, and they should strive to produe the best results as the gemstone they are.

End.
